Success Journal: Upcoming Leadership Academy Trains Future Leaders

Jo Kenney

In less than a month, on August 5-7, we will be meeting members from across the country at our annual Leadership Academy in Chicago. Our incoming local and state chapter presidents, as well as regional vice presidents, will be experiencing leadership training at a very high level as they look forward to planning for chapter success in 2012.

In real estate, Women's Council is widely recognized as the organization that identifies future leaders and trains them for our industry. Participation in Leadership Academy is an amazing experience for everyone involved. Your chapter leaders will be learning new skills and ideas to bring back home to your chapter, to ensure the continuance of membership value and chapter success at the local level through 2012 and beyond.

What many do not realize is that, in order to be a success, the Leadership Academy requires the dedicated time and effort of highly skilled and experienced members who share their knowledge and information on a strictly volunteer basis. This is a huge commitment, and we are so grateful to the dynamic members of the Academy faculty for making this event happen each year.

Many will tell you that Academy is one of the greatest opportunities they have experienced as members of Women's Council. It is certainly one of my fondest memories over the past several years!

As members of local chapters across the country, you have elected those among you to move your chapter forward into next year and beyond. This is an event that translates to greater value for each member, as we train those who will manage and lead your chapter to success as a local business resource and powerful support network to grow your real estate business.

Let me be the first to thank all involved for your participation and support of Women's Council. See you in Chicago!
