Forums Offer Participation in Strategic Issues

Success Journal: Have Your Heard About the Forums?

Bobbie NelsonThis past weekend, I had the pleasure to join your Leadership Team and Steering Committees, as well as association staff, for meetings near our Chicago headquarters to plan some exciting events for the upcoming Midyear Meeting. I would like to personally thank these hardworking volunteers for their time, thoughtful insight and dedication to Women's Council's mission.

If you are not familiar with Women's Council's Strategic Forums, these unique live events are designed to engage more members on the important strategic issues facing Women's Council today. During the past few years, Strategic Forums have been offered twice a year – at the Midyear Meeting in May and the National Conference in the fall.

If you will be joining us at the Midyear Meeting, May 17-20, be sure to participate in our Strategic Forums to share your expertise, to make new business contacts and to learn from top industry experts. Also, check regularly our Midyear Meeting webpage, as updates will be posted as soon as special guest speakers and other programs details are confirmed.

Past Strategic Forums have covered some exciting topics, including defining the pathways to leadership in our industry, peer-to-peer discussions on building your personal referral network, positioning women to maximize their potential for influence, real success stories on how community involvement equals business success and much more. This year, our four scheduled forums will be held concurrently, starting at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, May 18, at the Washington Hilton.

At the upcoming Midyear Meeting, we will also offer special education sessions, training for Women’s Council chapter officers and two courses in the Performance Management Network Designation program. And we will honor individual and chapter winners at the annual Awards Banquet – a red carpet celebration full of energy and excitement! I hope to see you there.
