See You in San Diego!
Well, it is almost time to head to San Diego for the National Conference, which got me thinking about amazing experiences available for members while we are there.
I have attended quite a few conferences over the years, and San Diego is one of my favorite places to visit. The conference will offer you many new ideas on improving your business and will give you a fabulous opportunity to network with other real estate professionals. It will also provide a better understanding of Women's Council as a professional organization, including tips for chapter officers on how to better manage your local chapter or network.
What better way to network than to adventure with a new friend or two? There are so many fun things to do in San Diego – so many that I don't know where to start.
First, if you like museums you are in for a treat, with all the great ones located around in Balboa Park. Also, the historic Old Towne is perfect if you're looking for yummy Mexican food and some California history, complete with docents and a trolley that can get you there with ease.
If you're one for the ocean life, the Birch Aquarium is always a wondrous place, and the beaches can’t be beat for connecting with Mother Nature, observing the beauty of southern California and people watching. If you’re an animal lover, the San Diego Zoo is a must with 99 acres of Safari Park that will engage your interest.
The Gas Lamp District offers superb shopping and dining experiences and so does Seaport Village that is walking distance from Women's Council's headquarters hotel. Of course, I cannot forget the Hotel Del Coronado that offers a fabulous Sunday brunch and the boutique shopping district in Coronado where I have spent some time myself!
Whatever you chose to do during your down time at the National Conference in San Diego, I am sure you will enjoy your visit and your experience with Women’s Council. We are looking forward to some top-notch educational sessions. And don’t forget to order your ticket for the Inaugural Banquet on Saturday, where Women’s Council will install 2016 National President Melissa Zimbleman.
Oh, and don't forget your sunglasses and flip flops, you'll need them in San Diego. See you there soon!
