Second International Women’s Real Estate Conference in Brazil - April 2017
With the theme LEARN 2 LEAD, Women's Council is going for the second time to meet with professional real estate women in Brazil. Why Brazil, might you ask? And why Women's Council of REALTORS®? Brazil, a large country of over 200 million, is one of the top economies in the world, with an expanding middle class and real opportunities in the real estate market. Its real estate professionals are highly regulated, following a code of ethics compatible with that of the National Association of REALTORS®. With 300,000 real estate professionals organized in an association called COFECI, it is the largest known national real estate association in the world, after the NAR.
Women are prevalent in the real estate world in Brazil, in fact, over 40% of the Brazilian real estate association members are women. But in leadership roles in the real estate sector, less than 10% are women, resembling organized real estate in the United States in the 1930's, when Women's Council of REALTORS® was created. Last year, a first Encontro of Women's Council leaders and women real estate professionals in Brazil interacted successfully in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the Women's Council 2016 National President Melissa Zimbelman as a keynote speaker. The attendees came away inspired and energized with Women's Council, its history and legacy and its role in developing business leaders.
Following that event, Women's Council leaders visited the Brazilian booth at the NAR Annual Convention in Orlando, FL, in November. These encounters so inspired us to organize our second Encontro (International Women's Real Estate Conference) to be held April 2-4, 2017 in Vitoria, Brazil! Your National leaders have been invited as keynote speakers. Under the theme LEARN 2 LEAD, we invite you to join hundreds of women and men from Brazil, Latin America and around the globe to this event, which includes inspiring sessions, business networking, and FUN. You don't speak Portuguese? No worries, there will be simultaneous translation. Worried about the high expense? To give you an idea, we secured the Sheraton hotel in Vitoria with rooms at about $100 per night! The full conference fee is only $200 and includes some meals, some transportation, first-class social/networking opportunities and an educational program focused on latest technologies and inspiring women business leaders in real estate. Make sure and apply for your VISA one month before the trip (after you purchase your airline ticket).
Come to Brazil, not only for personal and professional development, but for a key activity to create an international business network. See you in Vitoria!
