ChicagoeconnectWe’re gearing up for another great annual meeting—this year we head to Chicago! I’m looking forward to seeing all of you there for engaging events and great networking.

On Wednesday, November 1, we’ll kick off the conference with our PMN Pop-Up Course: Communications Hub: Turbocharging Your Business Strategies for Success. Later that day, we’ll have the PMN Reception and the Networking Mixer and Marketplace.

On Thursday, join us for the Welcome Breakfast and our guest speaker, Terry Watson. Immediately following our breakfast, join in Game Changers: Limitless Boundaries and Endless Possibilities, four concurrent sessions delving into business strategies, using your phone as a mobile marketing device, nonverbal communication, and content marketing strategy. Thursday afternoon, we’ll have the General Assembly, where you can meet the candidates for the 2018 Leadership Team. Our PMN pinning ceremony will take place during the General Assembly as well.

Get your groove on with our Friday morning WERQ® Fitness Class. Once you’ve got the blood flowing, you’ll be ready for the Annual Business Meeting and elections. Friday evening, the NAR Inaugural Gala will be held to install Elizabeth Mendenhall as the 2018 President with the NAR Leadership Team. Elizabeth has been a long-time Women's Council member and we're wishing her a successful year leading NAR.

Saturday get ready for more great education with our Power Sessions, covering everything from social media and tech to economic insights into the housing market to trending marketing tools. In the evening, we’ll celebrate with our Inaugural Banquet and Afterparty.

I’m excited about the upcoming Inaugural. It seems like time flew from my initial election to the officer team and the next thing I know, we’re planning an Inaugural. I’m so blessed to have an outstanding leadership team and a strong group of RVPs to work with in 2018.

Don’t forget to wrap up the meetings with us at the Celebrity Concert Sunday night with John Fogerty—a perfect conclusion to another engrossing National meeting.

The Executive Committee is poised and ready for action. Our common goal for Women’s Council of REALTORS® is to stay visible in the REALTOR® family and relevant to our members. In 2018, we’ll continue to review processes to maintain efficiency and to remain fiscally responsible.

We’ll begin working on our strategic plan for the next three years. I know some strategic ideas will come from this creative brain storming at the National meetings.

Yes, 2018 will be a year of growth for the Council!
