About Us

Go Global with the Council to Spain This September!

by Alma Betancourt

SpainimageIn Miami, we are considered one of the crossroads of the world and global real estate is not a specialty or a hobby, its a mainstream business. In our market, new residential developments attract up to 80% foreign buyers. Some are investors, others come to live, and many buy in Miami to gain a foothold in the US market and then in turn invest in other parts of the country. While in Miami, global real estate is a primary part of any REALTORS® business, you may be wondering how to get started in your local market? Like developing any part of your business, its all about investing in relationships, which in turn serve as a basis for business and referrals.

As a Women's Council member, you place a high value in investing in relationships with high level business leader counterparts. That is why Women's Council Miami-Dade and Women's Council National are collaborating on organizing a trade mission to Malaga, Spain (September 26-28). Limited to 25 participants from the US, we'll be invited to participate in a conference organized by AMPSI a well-established and successful organization that is the equivalent of the Women's Council of REALTORS® in Spain. The conference, in its 5th year, is a highly successful, well-organized, and professional conference. You can visit a video outlining their past conference here. Their national President was a guest speaker at the Women's Council National Conference in November and is committed to providing a first class experience to US attendees. For those of you who don't speak Spanish, the conference will have simultaneous translation to help ease the language burden. A low registration fee of US$250 will cover the conference and some meals, and the hotel is around US$150-$185 per night. In late September, airfares can be found as low as $500 round trip from major US cities. Finally, the conference will be held at a beachfront hotel outside of Malaga, Spain, a cosmopolitan city on the Mediterranean Sea. Like Miami, it's a hub for global real estate investment and a great venue to develop your global network.

Full conference details can be accessed on our website. At Women's Council, we want to bring you targeted, affordable, and relevant global business opportunities. We also want to go global in a manner that is compatible with the mission of the Council, which is why we are partnering with a first class established women's group that is the equivalent of the Women's Council in Spain. Learn, network, discover global business opportunities, but most importantly consider the experience of going to Spain this September with fellow Women's Council attendees. We'll make it an experience you will never forget. ¡Nos vemos en España!
