A letter from the 2024 President of the Women's Council of REALTORS®, San Diego

As the 2024 President of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® San Diego, I want you to know how excited I am for this coming year. I am truly looking forward to seeing your new and familiar faces and hope to bring in more membership as the year evolves. We are ready with a great team of Governing Board Members and Project Teams working diligently to provide you a year of value and vision.

This year, in addition to bringing you great events, we are building a website for San Diego County Women’s Council to give you a comprehensive look at 2024 and beyond in our local Network. A one-stop shop to find our calendar of our Governing Board meetings and other important dates, links to purchase tickets, links to our events and photos, meeting recaps, and links to WCR.org, WCRCA.org, SDAR, NSDCR, and PSAR. In addition, we will be updating our accounting system to the National standard for billing and bookkeeping.

Women’s Council is recognized as the voice for women in Real Estate, and as the premier source for the development of leaders in the industry, organized real estate, and beyond. We achieve this nationally by laying the foundation with our work at the local level. This past year, 2023, was a groundbreaking year for Women's Council in California, as the top three executive leaders of CAR were women, and all Women's Council of REALTORS® members.

I would like to take this time to publicly thank those who have volunteered and those who continue to contribute to the San Diego County network. Last year, 2023, was very successful. It could not have been done without you, or without our former leaders who continue to lead and nurture. I would like a very special mention to our Strategic Partners, it’s your contributions that truly enable us to attend our State and National meetings every year in order to build our leaders, and to expand and replenish our knowledge. Finally, I would like to honor our past mothers who had the foresight and courage to bring Women’s Council into being back in 1938.

Propelling forward into 2024, we are looking ahead to you and your ideas as we build future leaders. We need your membership and support to continue to grow our industry with capable and educated professionals. I’m so happy to be your servant leader this year. I would love to hear from each and every one of you how we can make this organization even better, and I am here to support you on YOUR leadership journey.

Our mission statement: "We are a network of successful REALTORS®, advancing women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities we serve."

Women’s Council of REALTORS® San Diego strives to give our members the very best in education, industry events, networking, and leadership training. Every year, we hold Membership Events (free to members), Industry Events based on relevant and timely information, fun Fundraising Events to help our leaders attend State and National Meetings, an Election, a spectacular Installation of Officers, and Lunch and Learns!

Our events bring value by encouraging our members (and future members!) to build a network and make friendships, to create new business and strategies. We encourage new ideas and hope that every member be involved in whatever way possible, large or small, and to allow their talents and gifts to be revealed and developed! For those interested in leadership, we urge you to attend our bimonthly governing board meetings.

The best way to maximize your membership is to become involved. We hope to see you soon!
