Join Columbus REALTORS® and Columbus Women's Council of REALTORS® to explore ways realtors are crossing cultural barriers to bring the dream of home ownership to more Central Ohio residents!

This class is a panel discussion to raise awareness of cultural differences, how cultural misunderstandings may affect real estate transactions, and some ways to avoid problems and bridge communication gaps. Content includes:

  • First-hand examples of REALTORS® regarding potential problems and solutions to working with clients from other cultures
  • Information with suggestions about how to ensure communication is clear, and expectations and procedures are explained and understood
  • Discussion of a home buyer's education program to prepare first time English and Spanish-speaking home buyers for the home purchase process
  • Information about a program for low and middle income consumers that will help them with financial planning in preparation for home buying (English and Spanish), as well as, information of some home buying assistance programs
  • Explanation of the concept of Global Fluency and statistics on Columbus population growth of the international segment of property buyers

Cost: $30 to be paid by 2:00 p.m. 8/14 (includes boxed lunch)
