Women's Council in Spain in Late September

For the past four years, the Women’s Council has been expanding its global footprint with two major goals in mind:

1)   Globally, partner with organizations that seek to advance women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities we serve.

2)   With these partnerships, provide initiatives and opportunities that offer members business connections, while ensuring that these initiatives meet strict quality control standards and do not result in a drain on Women’s Council precious resources and time.

Since 2015, such initiatives were held in Brazil twice, Serbia and Spain. All initiatives have been worthwhile, purposeful and complementary to the Women’s Council mission. In September 2019, the flagship international event will take place again in Seville, Spain from September 26th to 29th, 2019. With over 30 participants from the U.S. already registered, Women’s Council members will be special guests of the conference, organized by AMPSI,  a well-established and successful organization that is the equivalent of the Women's Council of REALTORS® in Spain. The conference, in its 6th year, is a highly successful, well-organized, and professional conference. You can view a video outlining their past conference here. For those of you who don't speak Spanish, the conference will have simultaneous translation to help ease the language burden. A low registration fee of US$425 will cover the conference and some meals, and the hotel is around US$125 per night. While the event is only a few weeks away, last-minute deals are available for airfares. Full conference details can be accessed in English on the website.

Why global and why Women’s Council? National leadership believes the ultimate value in the Women’s Council’s global outreach is to support a market where members can do cross-border business based on shared values. “Our presence at these events can be very motivating and inspirational to newly formed women’s organizations,” says Heather Ozur, 2019 National President. “But it’s the energy and enthusiasm of our grassroots members that help them strengthen and grow. In return, our members benefit from an expanded global network that delivers international clients looking to buy in the U.S.” Ozur will lead the US delegation to Spain and represent Women's Council.

Alicia Matheson, Women’s Council member from Orlando Florida who has attended every single event over the past four years, advocates for every member to explore global business opportunities. “It is essential to be global if you want to grow your business to new heights and, once established, you will never have to rely on a single economy again.”
