Dutchess County

It is such an honor and privilege to serve as the Women’s Council of Realtors Dutchess Network 2024 President.

First, I’d like to thank the 2023 Board for their dedication and hardwork. I especially want to thank Rita White, long time Board member, past President and the 2023 Treasurer, for her years of trememdous hardwork in making Women's Council Dutchess what it is today.

Since day one I’ve found many faucets of Women's Council that really benefited my business and the businesses of other Women’s Council members. These benefits include knowing which vendor to call with plumbing issues, which attorney to call to represent my most needy clients, and of course who to call with listing issues, etc. As realtors, we are the resources for our clients. What better source of our resources than being a part of Women’s Council of Realtors!

However, the most valuable benefit is the ability to meet other Women’s Council members throughout the entire USA. I know we can easily go to our own brokerages for referrals but I gotta be honest with you, it is much more beneficial to refer my business to a Women’s Council member that I’ve met and that I know has the same ethics and integrity as myself. I liken it to I’d rather trust my sister or brother to babysit my kids than some stranger I’ve never met! That’s what referrals with another Women’s Councils member has been like for me.

The Women’s Council of Realtors is the oldest affiliate of the National Association of Realtors dating back to 1938. Women’s Council Dutchess started in 2008, on the backs of many of you here. Of course we wouldn't be able to be nearly as successful as we have been without the assistance and collaboration from Dutchess County Association of Realtors! As the saying goes “it takes a village” and in this case, “it takes all of Dutchess County” for this network to continue growing.

As always, please remember to use our amazing Strategic Partners. I do mean “amazing” as they have proven how professional and skilled they are in their trades. They have tolerated us Realtors for having them on our speed-dials at all hours of the night to help us get to the Closing table! If you are not a strategic partner, we welcome you to consider joining us in 2024 and grow along with us. When you join the Women’s Council Dutchess, you be able to have many opportunities for one-on-one interactions with Realtors and really get to know each realtor on a personal level. As the saying goes, "if clients know you and like you then they will refer you!"
