Everything taught in this program is empowering and gives you the immediate skills, tactics, and strategies you need to successfully defend yourself. There is peace of mind in knowing that you can dramatically increase the chances of surviving/avoiding a violent attack. You will be taught to identify a threat before it becomes an attack and how to protect yourself from that threat. Prior experience or previous training is not necessary with this program - and best of all - the techniques you learn can be used to educate your whole family. The program is based on fast, simple movements - not power - and focuses on the ability to attack when you are in danger. There are no flashy moves in this course. Only the most practical and effective self-defense techniques available. Peace of mind and safety starts and ends with you! This class is a hands-on class. Space is limited-first come/first served.
Lieutenant Jen Miles has been with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office 20 years, where she has worked and trained in various avenues. Jen has been teaching Women’s Self Defense for over ten years and was certified in Rape Aggression Defensive (RAD) methods along with training in firearms-active shooter response, empty hand tactics, ground fighting and Deadly Aggression and Bulletproof Mind Training with Lt. Col Grossman.
This class is being made available to us free of charge courtesy of Mission Oakland. Donations are appreciated but not expected and can be made the night of the event via check, cash or Pay Pal
