Shannon Cohen is a high level consultant, founder, and author of two books, “It’s Normal to Shake as You  Soar” and “Tough Skin, Soft Heart: A Leadership Guide to Growing Stronger, Better, and Wiser”. Shannon is the  Founder and CEO of Shannon Cohen, Inc. a company that curates products, spaces, and experiences that nourish human souls. Her products have been featured at Target, Meijer, and West Elm and her Tough Skin, Soft Heart podcast is available on Anchor, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher with subscribers spanning 12 countries. 

Shannon is the Founder of the global Rockstar Woman™ Brunch Experience, serving thousands of women throughout  the U.S and Canada annually. For multiple years, Shannon has been named one of the 200 Most  Powerful Business Leaders in West Michigan and recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan by the Grand Rapids Business Journal.  In May of this year, Shannon will be awarded the “Women of Courage and Achievement” award from Michigan Women Forward.  This prestigious award celebrates Michigan women who exemplify commitment to community services, have a proven track record as a mentor and role model for others, women who empower and inspire their community, and women whose contributions are evident and enduring. In 2022, Shannon was awarded “Brilliant Woman of the Year” by West Michigan Woman Magazine. Shannon is an alumnus of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellowship, proud mom of a 3rd grader, and entering 14 years of “I do” with the love of her life, Duriel Cohen, Sr.!  

Shannon holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Nonprofit Administration from Grand Valley State University. Shannon serves on several boards including the Corewell Health [formerly Spectrum Health] Foundation, GROW, and Project GREEN.
