Supporting Women in Real Estate Grant Applications
Due June 13
This program provides local and state REALTOR® associations with the opportunity to receive funding to provide new and innovative programs focused on advancing women in the real estate industry. The goal of this program is to inspire women professionals to take on greater leadership roles in both business and organized real estate. While designed for real estate associations, this is an outstanding opportunity for local Women's Council networks to collaborate with their local or state Realtor® association.
Application materials are due on Monday, June 13, 2022. Grant recipients are contacted and funds are distributed by June 30th. All events are to be completed and follow-up reports due by December 30, 2022. Click here for more details
Leadership Institute: Application Process is Open
This year-long program develops leaders who have demonstrated leadership potential through their local and state networks, with the goal of creating a network of industry experts across the country who are actively involved in improving our Council. The application period is open through June 30th. 15 candidates are chosen in August and the program is for the 2023 calendar year. Click here for more information.
State & Local Bylaws Changes Approved
At the midyear meetings, proposed bylaws changes were approved. Local changes are minor and mainly deal with dues billing dates. State changes are more significant and involve changes from nominating to the credentialing process. To view approved templates, visit the Network Tools page of wcr.org and dropdown to national, state and local where new bylaws templates are posted. These form fill PDFs should be filled in and updated on your microsites at your earliest convenience (please delete previous versions), as National no longer posts and "stamps" them for you. Maintaining updated bylaws will be a certification benchmark for the 2022/2023 cycle.
Reminder: April dues disbursements are now in your BillHighway account
The BillHighway project is now live and fully operational as of April 1st. Going forward, dues disbursements to networks are done monthly directly to your account (along with reconciliation) and is the only method to obtain your dues from National. Checks are no longer sent manually, and disbursements are automatically deposited into your BillHighway account. Please see the archived Roadmap for full details. Over 2/3 of all networks are actively and successfully using BillHighway.
