TWO Weeks to Drop Date on Renewing Members

Membership dues for 2022 are past due and anyone with an outstanding balance will be dropped on March 31st. Your roster shows membership expiration dates, but to assist in your final renewals push, National staff sent a customized email to your President and Membership Director last week advising of expiring members. Additionally, National mailed out a past due invoice individually to members. Local emailing and calling efforts are encouraged as well. Retain your members and work on that final push!

Members who joined from August 2021 to February 2022 are exempt from this drop deadline.

 eConnect Rebranded as 'Council Corner'

We have rebranded eConnect to “Council Corner”. The frequency will increase from monthly to twice monthly and will aggregate general news stories on women, real estate, leadership and other topics of interest to members along with all of the Council information you're used to. The eConnect branding was over 10 years old and the goal with Council Corner is to increase communications frequency.

To ensure that you receive the newsletter in your inbox, you should whitelist the sending email address (wcr@multibriefs.com), essentially marking it as safe in your email. This will also prevent the newsletter from automatically going to your Spam or “Junk” folder.

Unable to Attend Elections at Midyear Meeting? Follow Designated Alternate Voter Procedures and Timelines

In addition to the full national Governing Board, the 2022 Local President is your network’s Voting Delegate at the Women’s Council Midyear Business Meeting (Election) on Thursday, May 5, 2022. You must register by April 21 at 11:59 pm Central time to be eligible to vote. Register here.

If for any reason you are not able to attend the Midyear Meeting and vote, you may delegate your voting privileges to another qualified member of your network, if the form is filled out AND the designated alternate voter registers by April 21. You must provide an authorization notice using the designated alternate voter form.

  • This is the only formal notice we will give to networks about designated alternate voters.

  • We do not accept emails or telephone calls outlining designated alternate voters.

  • The purpose of the Election is to elect the national leaders of the Council - President-elect, First Vice President, Treasurer, and three National Liaisons.

  • The Delegate and/or Alternate must hold REALTOR® or REALTOR®-ASSOCIATE membership and also be a current member in your network. You must outline their network position on the form.

  • If you have questions about this, please send them in writing to Jacqueline Flores, jflores@wcr.org. Title subject line “delegate alternate voting question” so that we may efficiently assist you and please be specific in your request and provide as much detail as possible (your name, network name, etc). No calls, please.

  • All election policies must be followed strictly and in writing and no on-site informalities are allowed.
