Gia was born and raised in Gainesville. She graduated from Buchholz High School, Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida. She moved to St. Augustine after graduation and worked for the St. Johns County School Board for two years until her husband graduated from Flagler College. She then moved back to Gainesville and joined her mother’s company, Matchmaker Realty of Alachua County Inc. She has been awarded the following: Honor Society Award 2005-2021 from the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors, Realtor of the Year in 2010. She is the Past President for the Gainesville/Alachua Association of Realtors, Past District Vice President for Florida Realtors and a past Florida State President for the Women's Council of Realtors. She was Florida Realtors President in 2024. Gia's biggest joy is her daughter Avery, her husband Scott, their mini farm of animals, and of course the Florida Gators!
