About Me

Wendy Barnes is an experienced luxury property specialist and a lifelong resident serving Greater Fort Lauderdale. She specializes in waterfront, golf course, and oceanfront properties and has attained the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist® and GUILD® designations for specialized training and experience in marketing the highly sought-after coastal neighborhoods, including Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, and Pompano Beach.

Prior to partnering with Claridge Homes, Wendy excelled as a licensed New Home Sales Consultant with one of the nation’s leading luxury new home builders, K. Hovnanian® Homes—a position that afforded her extensive hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and customer relationship management. This experience allowed her not only to market and sell many large-scale projects but also to build lasting relationships with clients, many of whom still consider her their go-to real estate advocate after she pivoted into general real estate sales.

As dedicated as Wendy is to client satisfaction, she is equally passionate about making positive contributions to her community and pursuing continuous education. She volunteered her time as a youth mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County and is currently an active member of various volunteer committees with Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie REALTORS®. She is an avid learner with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and has earned the National Association of REALTORS® designations of Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), as well as the certification of Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS).

Beyond her work, she enjoys fashion, home design and staging, beach activities, playing tennis, spending time with family, exploring new restaurants, and traveling whenever possible to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of other cultures.

Wendy is bilingual in English and Haitian Creole and proficient in French. She thrives on working with multicultural buyers and sellers seeking the pinnacle of luxury living in the “Venice of America.”
