An Update on National Events for the Remainder of the Year

Many of you have inquired as to the status of future national events, including the Network 360 Leadership Conference and the Women’s Council Annual Conference. As of today, both events are still planned and there are no plans to cancel. As you all know, these are uncertain times and plans may or may not change. We will keep you abreast of all developments via this newsletter.

Reminder: Leadership Identification and Development Opportunity

Women’s Council is a business leadership organization, and it is our goal to develop business leaders on all levels of the organization and to contribute to your success. Consider getting involved nationally as part of your leadership journey. Visit the Volunteer Town Square webpage to view national opportunities. In this link is a 30-minute webinar, and application. The volunteer application deadline for 2021 is June 1st. Depending on which local Network a member belongs to, applications will then go to your state leadership, RVP, or Governor along with the National headquarters staff. Appointments will be made in June for 2021. Opportunities include (but are not limited to): liaison positions to NAR, finance & budget committee, project teams, leadership academy faculty, inspiration/pledge speakers at national meetings, election volunteers, trade show booth volunteers, and meeting ambassadors. Please forward these links to your members and advise them of the opportunities and application process. Thank you!

Reminder: Affiliation Agreements

Each year, local network Presidents are asked to sign the affiliation agreement. This is an annual administrative task that we ask network Presidents to perform and understand the obligations of local networks as it relates to its relationship with Women’s Council National. In local networks with a corresponding state network, a copy of the signature will be sent as well (note, state networks do not need to sign affiliation agreements until the new model is in place in 2021). The elements of the agreement include the operating standards (also known as the network model), branding compliance, and termination and revocation clause. Each year we get 100% compliance with networks. Please see the attached which should take just a few minutes to review and sign. After May 1st, for networks that have not signed, we will be asking states, governors, and RVPs to follow up with you. Thank you for your compliance!
