Edition 3-2020 | February 7, 2020

Welcome to the third edition of the Roadmap for Network Leadership.  As a reminder, this communication is sent periodically and is exclusive to local and state network leaders and provides you information, tools, and guidelines to assist in your leadership journey in 2020.  All newsletters are archived here for reference and retrieval.

Renewals Update

2nd notice. The 2nd notice renewals were sent to all unpaid members last Friday, January 31st. All unpaid members received a customized link with a proforma invoice (see edition 2-2020 for details). Did a member not receive the link or accidentally erase the email? Simply contact and we can resend the customized link. Note, they are unique links customized to each individual member with their applicable dues.

Generating reports on microsites. For any member who has renewed since January 11th, their records are updated in real-time via the “paid through date” column on the network roster. We are still working on a technical fix for all members who renewed before that date during the existing renewals cycle (between Dec 14th – January 10th). For the ‘not yet renewed’ report, we are still working on a technical fix for reports to appear in real-time and should have it corrected soon. In the meantime, we are able to manually generate reports for your network upon request and are happy to assist. Please fill out the attached jotform to request a report.

Next renewal effort: mailed invoices. All unpaid members will receive a mailed invoice in late February.

Officers: Microsite Tips

2020 Officer Reporting: Final Notice. Thank you to all who have reported their 2020 officers.  Our officer reporting rate is now at nearly 90%. With 2020 fully underway,  all local and state networks should have reported 2020 officers (report local officers here and state officers here). Officer reporting is what triggers the microsite to be updated with correct officer information. If officers change throughout the year, please let us know by contacting

Why is my officer photo missing on the microsite? Your photos and contact information are pulled directly from your member profile on, which recognizes and classifies you as a local or state network leader in 2020.  If you see a missing photo or incorrect contact information on your state or local microsite, it means that your member profile needs to be updated. To access your member profile to make a change or add a photo, click “login” on the header page of  Changes will, in turn, be reflected on the microsite. For photos, please ensure the sizing is 150 x 150-pixel size.

Registration for the Midyear Meeting opens on February 12, 2020, at noon CST. A preliminary schedule can be found on the event site. The national meetings archives section has outstanding resources and power points from past meetings.

Network Checks are Coming!

Next week National will process checks for the local and state dues for new and renewing members since November 2019. Please note the following regarding network checks:

  • If you see a discrepancy in the check amount that does not match your records, please let Debbie Coda know at for further evaluation. While we are confident that amounts would "match", with newer systems and technology we are asking Networks to double-check.
  • Our next deployment of checks is anticipated for March and once again we'll ask that you double-check your records.
  • State checks are sent to the state President. Local checks are sent to the Director of Membership.

State Leaders

Training on state model and important dates. With the new state network model passed, we wanted to advise you of two live training sessions throughout the year as follows:

Midyear Meeting: A state network boot camp will be held Friday, May 15th from 9:00 am to 11:15 am.  All state network leaders are asked to attend this session, which will be held in between the breakfast welcome session and the elections.

Network 360 Leadership Conference.  An additional day of training has been added to the program on Wednesday, August 12th (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). “State Network 360”, will bring together 2021 State Presidents, 2021 State Liaisons (appointed by June 1st by the 2021 State President), and National Liaisons.  Note: this will require that 2021 State Presidents, State Liaisons, and National Liaisons arrive one day earlier than the official schedule in order to accommodate this additional session. More communications will follow, but please ensure that 2020 State President-elects are aware of this change and arrival date of Tuesday, August 11th.

State Presidents: need lists? Having an upcoming election? Or just looking to send group communications to local leaders in your state? National can pull email lists for local networks in your states, or other information as needed. For lists of local network Presidents in your state or other requests, please send requests via email to Patrick McConville at Women’s Council National HQ with the subject line “State List Request”. Requests must come directly from the 2020 State President only, and please allow 2 business days to process the list you require.
