What You Should Know as a Leaders This Week
We Submitted our Network Certification Application: Now what?
For those of you who applied for the network certification, thank you for submitting your applications. National is reviewing applications and we will advise you of your certification status during the week of October 18th; before that date, we might be in touch if we have questions about some of the benchmarks. Awards will be given at the National Conference on Thursday, November 11th from 3:15 pm to 5:00 pm during the ceremony titled ‘Women’s Council LIVE Celebration of Achievements”
Rosters: Paid Through Dates on Your Microsites
We underwent a software upgrade over the summer and some networks may notice that in few instances, new members were appearing on network rosters with improper “paid through” dates. Note, this in no way affects membership and the issue has been corrected. Thank you for your patience with this minor issue experienced as a result of the upgrade (which has now been corrected).
Not Yet Renewed Reports: Why are Fields Blank?
The "Not Yet Renewed" report is designed to have members show up when they are within 60 days of expiring AND have not yet renewed. They stay on there until the end of their grace period. Grace period for new (first year) members is 30 days (ex: if someone expired on 9/30/2021, and did not renew, they would stay on that report until 10/31/2021). If a member has been with the organization for more than one year, they have a 90 day grace period, which means they fall off the report after March 31st following their membership expiration date.
If your reports are blank, it means all members are current and no renewals are required. This will change as we approach renewal season and you can expect these reports to be “fuller”.
Expired Member Request Form: 2018-2021
Note, with the successful new member nudge, networks may be seeking lists of expired members from previous years. Much like the “come back campaign” last June, National can customize expired lists for you upon request. Please fill out the attached form to request such a report to assist in your marketing efforts.
Note: national will only be able to provide expired members going back to 2018. Please note in marketing efforts that these are expired members and you must comply with CAN-SPAM requirements in your marketing outreach. Ensure you have an opt-out provision when conducting any email campaigns.
Dates & Deadlines to Note
October 15: 2022 Officer Reports Deadline
2022 officers must be reported to National via the Jotforms below by October 15th. Officers who don’t report by the deadline will lead to outdated information on Network websites in 2022.
Note, when any officer changes in your network this form should be filled out. National can only accept submissions using the forms below and not via telephone or email.
October 26: Microsite Training Webinar
We want our Network Admins to the microsites to be successful - So annually we offer Network Microsite Training to get you ready for the task of maintaining your network microsite. This webinar will give you an in-depth training on how to maintain your network microsite as well as an overview of tools to assist you. Anyone who is a Network Microsite Admin should attend this important training.
October 31: New Member Nudge Program Ends
Women’s Council average daily new member count has increased by 35% since the new member nudge program started on September 1st. This program runs until October 31st and is a great way to give prospective members a “nudge” to join by offering several bonus items never seen before, like complimentary membership through 2021, and easy signup for brand new benefits, like Home Depot ProExtra and the jaw-dropping 12% Ace Hardware discount, which brings a quick ROI on dues. Networks are using the Canva templates to custom-design localized membership drives. Is your network participating in the new member nudge? November 15: 2022 Affiliation Agreements Due
All networks are required to complete a local or state Affiliation Agreement annually. Please submit your 2022 Affiliation Agreement by November 15.
