This newsletter is intended for 2021 leaders of Women's Council. This important information should be read thoroughly and shared with your local members as needed.

Edition 5 - 2021 | February 4, 2021

Note, this edition of Roadmap is for 2021 network leaders and is being distributed to the six leadership team members who were reported to National.

LESS THAN 60 DAYS TO THE DROP DATE

The clock is ticking. On March 31st, all calendar year members (2nd year + members) are dropped and will automatically roll off the member roster. The Not-Yet-Renewed report is your real-time tool to conduct personalized renewal communication outreach and the attached FAQ will walk you through everything Admins need to know about these reports.

We know that member recruitment and retention are challenging in a virtual environment; the retention zoom call held on Monday was attended by 150 and the recording can be accessed here.

UPDATE ON MICROSITE OFFICER REMOVAL

We know that 2020 officers have not yet been removed from the microsites.  We apologize for the delay; the adding of 2021 leaders and subtracting of 2020 officers must be done as a singular technical project, and the majority of networks don’t comply with the required officer reporting date (10/31), resulting in frustrating delays in switching over the information.  Please be aware of the following:

  • 2020 officers will be removed no later than February 11th (one week from now) and perhaps as early as Monday, February 8th.

  • Only submissions reported on the official forms through February 1st will be included (note, most 2021 officers already appear on the site).

  • For local networks, the following six positions will appear: President, President-elect, Treasurer, Secretary, Program Director, Membership Director.  For state networks, the following five positions will appear: President, President-elect, First Vice President, State Liaison, Treasurer.  Only these leaders will have microsite access and will appear on the officer section. If you do not meet national membership criteria or dues are not current and paid, the name will not appear on the microsite.

  • Should you wish to highlight other officers, we recommend you do so on the President’s welcome page.  A good example of this is Women’s Council Gwinnett (GA).

  • For officer changes and amendments submitted via the official form throughout the year, it may take up to two weeks to appear on your microsite.

  • Microsite Admin troubleshooting. While six officers have microsite access, we recommend that you designate 1 or 2 officers only to make page updates.  Using the Admin feature does require technical expertise and a qualified team member should be in charge of being an Admin. Any Admin should also complete microsite training and understand the instruction sheet found under network tools on wcr.orgMember Services staff are not able to do individualized training or assist with in-depth troubleshooting.
In 2022, Admin access will be further curtailed greatly and restricted to 2 Admins per network only, so identify individuals today who can be designated as Admins versus having all team members use the Admin feature.
