October 9, 2018

Greetings Everyone,

They tell me that Summer has come to a close;  really?  Summer is a State of Mind that we need to keep in our minds to carry us through the final quarter of the year.

Your Women's Council Network had a busy 3rd Quarter.  First our Education Chair and her committee worked diligently on our first Home & Builder's Expo.  It was held in the Millsboro Civic Center and co-sponsored by the Town of Millsboro.  38 Vendors and 121 realtors/guests were in attendance.  Not bad for a first year.  Thank you Tammy Rust and team.

Your Network also presented a luncheon meeting where Drew Boyce of DELDOT spoke about "Navigating Sussex County".  Special emphasis on the 5 POINT Corridor in Lewes and other present transportation issues.

The Candidate Review Team sent our e-mails to obtain members interested in serving on our Board in 2019.  Onnly a view responded.  On October 16th , at the General Membership Meeting, they will present the two applicants for the two Board positions that require a membership vote.  President Elect and Treasurer are the two elected positions.  Secretary, Membership Director and Program Director will be chosen by the in-coming president.  The slate for election:  Pres.-Elect; Tammy Rust and Treasurer; Patti LaRosa.

Flyers are out for you to join us at the Dia De Los Muertos, our Murder Mystery.  Fairfield Inn/Marriot on SUnday October 14th.  Doors open at 3:45pm.

Just a Reminder:  CE MOD #3 Jeopardy will be held on October 16th Noon-3pm.  Lunch will be included and provided by Victoria's Restaurant, Rehoboth Beach.  FLyers are out for registration.

Happy Autumn my friends, breathe, walk in those leaves, enjoy!
