Welcome to 2024!

One of the hardest tasks for an incoming President is setting the tone for the year and hoping that it is impactful for every member and all the leadership within the organization. I was reading an article in the Magnolia magazine called Deep/Roots and just like that it inspired my leadership vision: DEEPLY ROOTED.

The article described a storm taking down everything in its path but a single tree with a simple form remained unmoved. It went on to illustrate that in the calm this tree’s growth went unseen as its’ choice was either to grow tall and be seen or grow out of sight and be deeply rooted.

2024 will be focused on Being Deeply Rooted. Deeply Rooted in values, motivations, aspirations, and partnerships. We will speak our dreams out loud. We will be bold and ask for support. We will be kind and ask for grace. But most of all we will grow together, celebrating everyone’s unseen achievements because we are a forest and together, we can grow tall and be deeply rooted.

I can't begin to express my gratitude for the growth both personal and professional that the Council has afforded me, and I am so excited to experience this year with each and every one of you and look forward to serving you and serving beside you! I hope to connect at our events below:
