A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Valued Members,

Our January Business Meeting was a great success.  Sasha ZeBryk told us 3 Wicked Ways to Wow Your Audience.  Sasha shared with us the tricks to capturing and keeping your audience's attention as well as the "do's and don't's."  Miles Grant served a delicious meal and dessert, Julia Sansevire won the 50/50 raffle and Jessica Zyak won the door prize.  According to the evaluations, everyone felt the meeting brought value to their business. To those of you who attended, we enjoyed seeing your there.  If you weren't there, we missed you!

Our February Business Resource luncheon promises to be just what the doctor ordered.  Dr. Lisa Grassam Smith will answer the question: "Who Has Time to be Sick?" with advice to keep you healthy.  Please note, next month's meeting will take place at a different location--Eagle Marsh Country Club.

Many hands make light work and we are still looking for a few hands to chair (or co-chair) one of the following positions:  Purse Auction and Website.

DON'T FORGET! It's time to renew your membership. It's simple.  Just click on the tab at www.wcr.org to renew.

I need to make you aware of our standing rules regarding reservations.

RESERVATION OBLIGATIONS:

  1. Chapter meetings will cost a member no more than $25.00 with a reservation.

  2. Chapter meetings will cost a non-member no more than $30.00 with a reservation.

  3. Non-members, guests attending Chapter meetings with or without a reservation will cost no more than $30.00. They will be accommodated on a space available basis.

  4. Any reservation made by a member or non-member who does not attend the meeting/function/event or cancel within the deadline shall be responsible for payment to the chapter.

  5. Cancellation deadline will be 48 hours prior to each meeting/function/event.

These means that you will be charged extra if you don't make a reservation and you will be charged if you make a reservation and do not attend.  The reason for these rules is that the caterer needs the number of attendees 48 hours in advance.  The chapter is then charged for at least this number of people.  In order to be fair to all chapter members, as well as be good stewards of the chapter's money, we need to follow these rules.  Thank you so much for understanding.

In January, the governing board will the Mid-Winter realtor meetings in Orlando. The WCR segments will everything from strategic planning to effective chapter operations. Audrey Lackey from Jacksonville will be installed as State President at the gala dinner. Did you know that ALL WCR members can attend the state meetings? You will have the opportunity to meet WCR members from around the state.  If you are interested in attending, please contact me for details--the more the merrier!

I look forward to our year together. Please don’t hesitate to call me with any ideas, suggestions, or complaints. We’re all in this great organization together!!

Warmest regards,

Maryellen Castellano
