Dear Current and Future Members of Stuart-Martin County,

WOW! This year, time seems to be flying by faster and faster. It is now the 4th quarter of 2018 and we still have a few fantastic events to look forward to in the remainder of this year.

November 8 - Property Appraiser Update with Laurel Kelly

December 13 - 2019 Officer Installation & Holiday Party

Project Teams are forming for our upcoming events, please contact Lynn, Anna, Lorna, or myself to get involved and lend a hand.

We have had a terrific year so far, we have dreamed big, taken massive action towards our goals and celebrated many successes along the way!

So far this year we have hosted 7 excellent Women’s Council events. We “Soared into the New Year” with ways to increase our income and organize our businesses, we learned to “Love Your Taxes” and to be prepared for the new tax law changes in 2018, we had a fun-filled day networking with our local home builders and enjoyed a fun “Progressive Builders Lunch”, we helped to host the FIRST EVER “Real Estate BAR CAMP” with the Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast, learned how to maintain “Healthy Living for Your Body & Brain”, hosted our Womens' Council State President, Cindy DeCoster, at our annual District 3 Conference, elected our 2019 State Leadership Team and attended the Florida Realtors Convention in Orlando, hosted a fun New Member Orientation, elected our 2019 network Governing Board & Leadership Team during the Convention Recap event, and most recently hosted our wildly successful 12th Annual Purse Auction fundraising event.

I am so thankful for the support and guidance of our Women’s Council Past Presidents. Without the path you have paved with your commitment and determination, we would not be where we are today.

Like Isaac Newton noted, ‘We stand on the shoulders of the giants’, those giants are those trailblazing women who came before us.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve as your 2018 President of the Women’s Council of Realtors Stuart-Martin County.

In 2018 we are driven to Dream Big, Take Action, and Celebrate Success along the way.

In 2018 we are continuing to help each other get forward faster.

Our Women’s Council Mission Statement proclaims that “We are a network of successful REALTORS®, advancing women as professionals and leaders in business, the industry and the communities we serve.”

What that implies to me is that first and foremost, we are a group of successful Realtors coming together for a common cause. The Realtor brand is one of the most recognizable brands in the United States. A powerful voice for homeownership and private property rights at the Local, State and National levels.

The Women’s Council is present in all 3 levels of our Realtor Assoc,. Even here in Stuart-Martin County, we are a part of the driving force for supporting women in developing and nurturing skills for those who wish to be heard at the decision-making table. Whether that be on a local or national stage is up to the individual.

Our local, State and National network of Women’s Council Realtor members is an outstanding collective for referral business. And just like any good system it only works when you do the work. Any member of Women’s Council can tap into a direct connection with a highly skilled Realtor committed to high quality in practically any town, in any state in the nation. And I can tell you from personal experience that engaging with this network really works.

In our business every day, we have to reach out and connect with new and familiar people: the same concept applies to the Women’s Council network. Some of you know I love to send handwritten notes. When I had a little time each month, I took it upon myself to write notes to every 2018 incoming President and establish connections I would never have had otherwise.

In our local network, programs and events focus on professional and personal development so that each of our members can be the best version of themselves, continue to grow, and produce success in their Real Estate business at a high level of quality.

I know that the momentum and passion that you have seen in our 2018 leadership will continue to thrive with our 2019 officers. We look forward to hearing your input and feedback throughout the year. We understand this organization is driven by the needs of the members.

Add our Women’s Council to your list when looking for a “source of resources”.

Use your voice, tell us about your concerns or issues in our local market. Notify us of the successes you see with other members or share a brag about your own recent achievements.

Interested in stepping up or brushing up on your leadership skills? We have opportunities in our 2018 project teams for your contribution of time and talents.

This year we are working with other industry organizations, our neighboring Women’s Councils to the north and south, and our local Realtor Association to bring new educational & networking events to the members.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone who made 2017 a fantastic and successful year, particularly the officers and Project Team Leaders and the many members who were the enthusiastic and moving force behind the scenes of our wonderful Network.
