Stay compliant and maintain your Broker-in-Charge (BIC) or BIC-Eligible status by attending the 2026 Broker-in-Charge Update (BICUP) course.
This 4-hour mandatory continuing education course is required for all North Carolina Brokers-in-Charge and brokers with BIC-Eligible status to satisfy the annual Update course requirement, as prescribed by North Carolina Real Estate Commission Rules 58A .1702 and 58A .0110.

Who Should Attend?
This course is required for:
- Brokers-in-Charge (BICs)
- Brokers with BIC-Eligible status
To maintain an active North Carolina real estate license, brokers must complete 8 hours of continuing education each license year, including:
- One 4-hour Update course
- One 4-hour Commission-approved elective
Brokers-in-Charge and BIC-Eligible brokers must complete BICUP instead of GENUP.
