South Texas Coast
President’s Letter – 2026
Women’s Council of REALTORS® South Texas Coast Network
By Jo Hambrick, 2026 President
Dear Members, Partners, and Future Leaders,
Welcome to the Women’s Council of REALTORS® South Texas Coast Network. As the youngest Network in Texas—and one of the youngest in the Nation—we were built on vision, grit, and the belief that leadership can thrive anywhere, even on a coastline where the winds shift often and the tides don’t always cooperate.
As we enter 2026, and I my second year as President, my ambition is clear: to strengthen our Network, expand our presence, and deepen our impact—both within the real estate industry and throughout the communities we serve. We are here to lead, uplift, elevate professionalism, and create meaningful connections that reach far beyond transactions.
Those who know me know I wasn’t born and raised in the U.S.; my roots are in Scandinavia. With Viking courage and a little gypsy fire in my blood, I believe in sailing forward even when the seas get rough. Our Network has weathered storms, rebuilt with heart, and proven that resilience is part of who we are.
For 2026, my word is Resilience, and my focus is on empowering the leaders of tomorrow. I intend to step back where needed, giving emerging leaders the space to gain their sea legs, grow in confidence, and take the helm. Jo’s Hammer—my not-so-dainty gavel—isn’t just mine to wield; it symbolizes the strength and leadership we pass from one woman to the next.
Together, we will continue building a Network that is strong, visible, and enduring—a community that inspires, educates, and elevates.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Our story is still being written, and I am honored to help guide it into its next chapter.
With gratitude,
Jo Hambrick
2025+2026 President
