About Me

Carol Sommer is the Founder and Developer of RE Kick Start 101™, a state-certified 3-hour CE course designed to help real estate professionals own and operate their business with confidence. Her classes—delivered both in person and virtually across Ohio—have equipped thousands of REALTORS®, both new and experienced, with the tools to build sustainable careers. She also teaches multiple courses for Ohio REALTORS®, including the required 20-Hour Post-Licensing class.
After more than 22 years as a practicing REALTOR®, Carol made her license inactive in 2023 to fully dedicate her expertise to teaching, coaching, and mentoring. She is passionate about helping agents understand that real estate is not a sideline or hobby, but a true business requiring knowledge, systems, and professionalism.
New licensees especially value her ability to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world practice, while seasoned professionals appreciate her engaging Core Classes and Electives, all taught from a REALTOR’s perspective.
Carol has long been active in the real estate community, serving on multiple committees with Columbus REALTORS®, including the Education Committee and the Grievance Committee. She is a Past President of the Southern Delaware County Realty Association (now Powell Area Realty Association) and was named 2022 Columbus REALTORS® Instructor of the Year.
As a coach, mentor, and instructor, Carol provides training in business development, real estate fundamentals, marketing, lead generation, and more. She also partners with brokerages to design customized CE programs that meet their unique needs.
