Dan is a third-generation Realtor® based in Rhinebeck, New York, with nearly 30 years of experience in residential real estate and industry leadership. Specializing in residential sales, rentals, and property management, Dan is known for his client-first philosophy, collaborative approach, and unwavering professionalism.A licensed associate broker since 2000, Dan began his real estate career in 1996 at his family’s firm, Staley Real Estate. Dan is a proud member of both the Women’s Council of Realtors and the Residential Real Estate Council, where he actively advocates for leadership development, equity, and professional excellence.
At the local level in 2026, Dan serves as Chair of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors (DCAR) Policy & Bylaws Committee and sits on the DCAR Finance Committee. A two-term Past President of DCAR, he continues to provide guidance and institutional knowledge to support strong governance, fiscal responsibility, and effective association leadership.
Dan is a graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy, Class of 2022, and was honored as DCAR Realtor® of the Year in 2021 for his outstanding service and contributions to the profession.
At the state level, Dan serves as President-Elect of the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR). In this role, he chairs the Statewide Forms Committee and serves on the Budget & Finance Committee, Investment Committee, Executive Committee, and Organizational Planning Committee, helping guide policy development, financial stewardship, and long-term strategic planning for REALTORS® across New York State.
Nationally, Dan continues his service as the National Association of Realtors® Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for New York’s 18th Congressional District. He serves on the NAR FPC Advisory Committee and sits on the NAR Board of Directors, working to advance REALTOR® advocacy, federal policy engagement, and grassroots leadership at the national level.
Beyond real estate, Dan is a U.S. Army veteran who served during the First Gulf War, a former Rhinebeck Town Councilman, and a Director on the Board of Ferncliff Forest, a 200-acre preserve founded by his grandfather. He remains active in veteran affairs through the American Legion Color Guard.
As an ally and advocate within the Women’s Council of Realtors, Dan proudly supports the organization’s mission to empower women in business and community leadership.
