About Me

Dan Staley is a third-generation Realtor® based in Rhinebeck, New York, with nearly three decades of experience in residential real estate and industry leadership. He specializes in residential real estate sales, rentals, and property management. As a proud member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and the Residential Real Estate Council, Dan is a strong advocate for leadership development, equity, and professional excellence throughout the real estate profession.

Dan began his real estate career in 1996 and became a licensed associate broker in 2000 at his family’s firm, Staley Real Estate. He is widely respected for his collaborative approach, client-first philosophy, and steadfast professionalism. His dedication to continuous improvement is reflected in his advanced credentials:
• Certified Residential Specialist (CRS)
• Certified Probate Specialist (CPS)
• C2EX (Commitment to Excellence)
• At Home With Diversity (AHWD)

Dan is a two-term Past President of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors (DCAR) and a graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy, #5. In 2021, he was honored by his peers as DCAR Realtor of the Year for his outstanding service to the industry.

Currently serving as Treasurer of the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR), Dan chairs both the Budget & Finance Committee and the Investment Committee, and serves as Vice Chair of the Statewide Forms Committee. He also contributes to the Legal Action, Organizational Planning, and Executive Committees, helping to shape policy and strategic direction statewide.

On the national level, Dan represents New York’s 18th Congressional District as the Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) for the National Association of Realtors (NAR), where he works closely with Congressman Pat Ryan. He also serves on the NAR Federal Financing and Housing Committee and the NAR Board of Directors, where he advocates for homeownership, fair housing, and responsible real estate legislation.

Dan’s service extends beyond the real estate sector. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served during the First Gulf War, a former Rhinebeck Town Councilman, and a Director on the Board of Ferncliff Forest, a 200-acre preserve established by his grandfather. He remains actively involved in veteran affairs through the American Legion Color Guard.

As an ally and advocate within the Women’s Council of Realtors, Dan is proud to support the organization’s mission of empowering women to exercise their potential as leaders in business and in the community. He believes in the strength of collaboration and works every day to build a more inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking industry.
