Daniel Staley is a third-generation Realtor® based in Rhinebeck, New York, with nearly 30 years of experience in residential real estate and industry leadership. Specializing in residential sales, rentals, and property management, Dan is known for his client-first philosophy, collaborative approach, and unwavering professionalism.A licensed associate broker since 2000, Dan began his career in 1996 at his family’s firm, Staley Real Estate. Dan is a proud member of both the Women’s Council of Realtors and the Residential Real Estate Council, where he advocates for leadership development, equity, and professional excellence.
At the local level, Dan is a two-term Past President of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors (DCAR) and currently chairs the Bylaws and Policy Committee. He also serves on the DCAR’s Finance Committee and Nominating Committee, helping guide the organization’s operations and leadership.
He is a graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy, Class #5, and was honored as DCAR Realtor of the Year in 2021 for his outstanding service and contributions to the profession.
On the state level, Dan currently serves as Treasurer of the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) and is a member of the NYSAR Leadership Team. He chairs the Budget & Finance Committee and the Investment Committee, serves as Vice Chair of the Statewide Forms Committee, and is a member of the Legal Action, Organizational Planning, and Executive Committees, helping shape policy, budgeting, and strategic direction statewide.
Nationally, Dan represents New York’s 18th Congressional District as the Federal Political Coordinator (FPC) to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), working closely with Congressman Pat Ryan. He serves on the NAR Federal Financing and Housing Committee, is a member of the NAR Board of Directors, and plays a key leadership role on the NAR FPC Advisory Committee as Lead FPC for New York State, mentoring fellow FPCs and guiding advocacy efforts across the state.
Beyond real estate, Dan is a U.S. Army veteran who served during the First Gulf War, a former Rhinebeck Town Councilman, and a Director on the Board of Ferncliff Forest, a 200-acre preserve founded by his grandfather. He remains active in veteran affairs through the American Legion Color Guard.
As an ally and advocate within the Women’s Council of Realtors, Dan proudly supports the mission to empower women in business and community leadership. His commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and continuous improvement drives his efforts to build a stronger, more forward-thinking real estate industry.
