About Me

Jamesha Norwood was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. She relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2000 to go to college shortly after graduating from high school. She went to Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where she graduated with two Bachelor of Science in Business Degrees in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Jamesha began her real estate career in 2003 where she worked as the Property Manager's Assistant of a 632-unit apartment complex. She did everything there including budgeting, administrative tasks, decorating models, leasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inspecting units at move in and move-out and much more except for maintenance. She would have done that too if she had been there a bit longer, but in 2006 a new management company took over and let her go since most apartment complexes don't have that position.

That led Jamesha to becoming a Multifamily Portfolio Manager and Property Inspector at P/R Mortgage & Investment Company (now Merchants Bank of Indiana) in 2006. She did everything there from a new loan or refinance to payoff, refinance, or foreclosure of the loan including funding, delivery, servicing, escrow analysis, real estate taxes, mortgage payments, replacement reserves for repairs, insurance, and much more. She was responsible for servicing over 70 loans valued at over 1 billion within the P/R portfolio and served as the property inspector for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and RHS projects financed within the corporate portfolio. She worked there until 2012.

Jamesha's friend of over 27+ years always told her for years she should become an entrepreneur, but she never knew what she could do until going through the home buying process herself and that is when the light bulb lit up. After closing on her new construction home in 2009 (purchasing a preexisting home wasn't working in her favor), she enrolled in Real Estate School and was licensed as a Real Estate Salesperson in February 2010. She obtained her Associate Broker's license in 2011 so that she could do Property Management before it become mandatory in 2014.

Jamesha has over 22+ years’ experience in Real Estate. She is a compassionate Realtist (NAREB) and Realtor (NAR) who exudes persistence, execution, and perseverance. Jamesha's passion for Real Estate is apparent through her helping her clients get to the finish line and reaching their goals of buying, selling, or investing. Jamesha has great communication skills throughout, she may even over communicate, and she works well with all parties involved to ensure that you make it to the closing table. She is a great choice because she keeps it real (honest), committed to serving her clients (loyal), enjoys selling real estate (dedicated), and most importantly, she cares!
Jamesha is an active member with CIRA, MIBOR, IAR, NAR, NAREB, WCR and WCNAREB. She has served has as Secretary and Treasurer for CIRA. She served as a member of the Grievance Committee, Ball Committee, Real Academy of Leadership Committee (also a Graduate as of 2017), the Short-Term Rental Task Force, IPS Focus Group, Investor Housing Task Force for MIBOR. She served as President and Parliamentarian of the Women’s Council of CIRA chapter, which received the Chapter of the Year Award in 2016 and Treasurer for Women’s Council of National Association Real Estate Brokers. She served as the RVP Assistant for Region VIII of NAREB. She served on Fundraising, Education, Membership, Social Media and Marketing, Events, Realtist Week Committees and where else needed CIRA and WC of CIRA. If she is available, she shows up.
She currently serves on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Global Advisory Group, and Professional Standards Committees for MIBOR. She is the Board of Governor for Women’s Council of CIRA. She is the 2025 Women’s Council of REALTORS® President Elect and Northside MIBOR Division Programs Chair.
Jamesha is a lover of all things Indiana, Jamesha resides in Indianapolis, with her dog a Pomeranian Poodle aka Pom-Poo named Daisy. She hopes to have a family one day. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing Latin (salsa, bachata (her favorite), merengue, cumbia), stepping, line dances, traveling, exploring new areas and cultures, and doing things gives her an adrenaline rush. She was trained in ballet, toe dance, modern, jazz, folk, African, and hip hop.
