Nyema Washington is a dynamic professional whose career reflects a passion for people, service, and results. With over a decade of diverse experience spanning education, community outreach, higher education admissions, and financial reconciliation, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to connect with individuals, foster growth, and deliver measurable impact.Nyema began her career in education as a Paraprofessional at James Hillhouse High School, where she supported teachers, engaged directly with students, and built a strong foundation in mentoring and youth development. Her commitment to guiding young people expanded in her role as an Urban Mentor Specialist at Redesigning Minds, where she provided crisis intervention, case management, and essential linkages to community resources for at-risk youth and families.
Her dedication to student success continued as Associate Director of Admissions at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. There, she established meaningful relationships with pre-professional advisors, mentored aspiring medical students, and facilitated the admissions process with precision and care. Nyema later expanded her impact through community engagement as a Community Outreach Specialist with Village Learning Place, where she strengthened partnerships, hosted community events, and secured resources to enhance programming for students and families.
Transitioning into the corporate sector, Nyema currently serves as a Reconciliation Accounting Clerk with Wells Fargo and Bank of America, where she manages financial reconciliations, oversees credit and debit card accounts, and ensures accuracy across accounts receivable processes. This role has allowed her to leverage her strong analytical skills, attention to detail, fraud prevention and ability to thrive in high-accountability environments.
In addition to her professional roles, Nyema has pursued licensure and certifications to broaden her ability to serve individuals and families. She was licensed in Life Insurance and Annuities (2020–2024), empowering her to guide clients in protecting their financial futures. In 2023, she earned her Real Estate License and is currently a Realtor with Keller Williams Coastal Area Partners, helping families and individuals achieve their homeownership goals.
