Dr. Valarie Lindsey is an accomplished Professor of Business with dual Master’s degrees in Information Technology and Business Administration Management, along with a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership.
Her qualitative phenomenological research explored BIPOC students’ experiences with institutional supports for sense of belonging (SOB), aiming to conceptualize ideal supports to enhance SOB and “break the fourth wall,” a metaphor from Diderot highlighting barriers between BIPOC students and higher education. Findings indicated that a co-constructed environment fosters shared experiences and collaborative proposals for resources, promoting a more inclusive and welcoming academic community.
Her expertise uniquely positions her as the Director of Technology for the Women’s Council of Realtors and as an advocate for equitable representation in academia, empowering young leaders to integrate technology and education into their practices.
