Women’s Council Providing Business Building Skills at Midyear
Dear Women’s Council Members,
The 2026 Midyear Meeting has officially wrapped, and the energy, connection, and commitment our members brought to Washington, D.C. made it truly one to remember.
From the very first session, it was clear this meeting was different. Conversations were deeper, the learning was practical, and the sense of community was felt in every room. This year, we designed Midyear with intention — centered around four pillars: inspiration, empowerment, connection, and business building.
Our membership is evolving, and we are listening. More of our members are newer to the business and looking for real, actionable value they can put to work immediately. The driving question was simple: How does Women’s Council help me build my business? Everything we planned was designed to answer that question.
The Power of My Story
One of the most meaningful additions to this year’s Midyear Meeting was The Power of My Story – a session where three members shared their personal leadership journeys with authenticity and courage. Their stories were a powerful reminder that every member’s path is worth sharing, and that the right story at the right moment can inspire someone else to take their next step. Leadership doesn’t always begin with confidence — sometimes it begins with an invitation.
The First Women Who Power Panel
We were proud to launch the inaugural Women Who Power Panel, celebrating women who are growing their businesses, making an impact in their communities, and demonstrating what is possible through Women’s Council membership. This panel was about more than titles — it highlighted real business growth, relationship building, mentorship, advocacy, and innovation. It reflected exactly who we are as an organization.
Business-Building Takeaways Members Can Use Now
Throughout the meeting, we wove in practical, member-focused moments designed to deliver immediate value. One standout example: a member took the stage to share how she uses pop-bys in her business, complete with a QR code and a take-home resource members could implement right away. That is the kind of value Women’s Council is committed to providing — tools, strategies, and ideas that make a difference in your business today.
Keynote and Learning Sessions
Our keynote speaker, Angel Tucker, delivered an energizing and insightful session on the GLOW DISC Profile, helping members better understand their communication styles, strengthen relationships, and lead with greater self-awareness. Her practical approach left members with tools they could apply immediately in both business and leadership.
We also welcomed Jen Baird, whose session on managing chaos in life and business resonated deeply with members navigating the demands of clients, leadership, family, and personal well-being. Her message reinforced a truth we believe in: sustainable business growth requires both strong strategy and strong self-leadership.
Leadership and Governance Highlights
Midyear is always an important time for the governance work that keeps Women’s Council moving forward. Members participated in elections for the Candidate Credentialing and Review Committee, the Executive Committee, the 2027 National Leadership Team, and the 2027 National Liaisons. We are grateful to every candidate who stepped forward and every member who participated in the process. These elections represent our future — and it is bright.
REALTORS® Relief Foundation and the Starfish Impact Challenge
Members were also reminded of the meaningful role Women’s Council plays beyond business. As the REALTORS® Relief Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary, we encouraged members and Networks to participate in the Starfish Impact Challenge — one member, one gift, one act of compassion creating real impact for families recovering from disasters.
Looking Ahead
The work we did in Washington, D.C. does not stay in Washington, D.C. The momentum, the tools, the connections, and the inspiration are meant to travel home with you — into your Networks, your businesses, and your communities.
Our commitment remains the same: to support members at every stage of their business, to create spaces where women are encouraged and equipped to lead, and to continue strengthening Networks across the country.
