Give Back to a Deserving Veteran at The National Conference

In the spirit of Veterans Day, Women’s Council of REALTORS® has teamed up with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to present a service dog to a veteran in need. The service dog will be presented to a local veteran on November 9th at the National Conference. 

If you know of a veteran in Boston who needs a service dog, or just would like to submit an application for a veteran in need, please click here and apply. On the application, let us know you are associated with Women’s Council.

AWI is a nonprofit organization that is backed by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. The organization is dedicated to giving back to veterans, active-duty service members and first responders by funding service dogs, providing financial grants and other initiatives. 

Over 38,000 real estate agents become American Warrior Real Estate Professionals (AWREP) through AWI. AWREP Boot Camps are held across the United States and bring awareness to the challenges facing the men and women who have served in the military when returning from war.

Updated November 18, 2024: AWI presented Veteran Jeff with a service dog and it’s training fully funded when we were onsite in Boston at the General Assembly. Women’s Council members showed up and demonstrated their generosity with donations and tee-shirt sales; post-conference AWI announced they were able to give Jeff and his family an additional $5,000. Thank you Women’s Council!
