Helping Hands: Small Acts. Big Impact. Real Change.

March is Helping Hands Month! This is one of our favorite times of year at Women’s Council of REALTORS®. It’s not about checking a box or following a rigid plan. It’s about showing up for our communities in ways that feel authentic, meaningful, and fun for each network.
NOW is the time to start making a plan – Helping Hands Month is designed to be joyful, flexible, and locally driven. Our goal is not uniformity—it’s for networks to connect with their local community and have a larger nationwide impact together. Every network is encouraged to begin planning a community service project that reflects the unique needs and passions of their members and the community they serve.
Whether it’s one afternoon of service or a full month of small acts, March’s Helping Hands Month is about giving back, building connections, and telling the story of REALTORS® who care.
What Does Helping Hands Look Like?
There’s no single “right” way to participate. The best projects are the ones that feel natural to your network and align with causes your members already care about.
Here are a few ideas for inspiration:
Volunteer Projects
- Serving at food banks or shelters
- Reading programs or supply drives for schools
- Supporting senior centers or housing initiatives
Donation Drives
- Clothing or coat drives
- Backpacks for students
- Hygiene kits for shelters or outreach programs
Community Initiatives
- Neighborhood clean-ups or park beautification
- Supporting first responders or teachers
- Partnering with a local nonprofit your network already loves
Big or small—every effort counts. A few hours of service can make a real difference, especially when multiplied across hundreds of Women’s Council networks nationwide.
Share the Story: Let’s Amplify Your Impact
Helping Hands Month doesn’t end when the project is over. One of the most powerful parts of this initiative is telling the story—because when we share what we’re doing, we inspire others to get involved and showcase the heart of Women’s Council.
We encourage every network to document their Helping Hands efforts—take photos, capture short videos, and collect a few quotes from members who participate.
Then, send your best moments to us!
Email your photos, stories, and details to marketing@wcr.org. Our team will hand-select submissions to feature in future newsletters.
And don’t forget to share in real time on social media!
Tag us at @WomensCouncil and use #WomensCouncilHelpingHands so we can reshare, celebrate, and amplify your impact.
Because when one network gives back, it’s meaningful.
But when hundreds of networks share their stories together—that’s a movement.
