Congratulations to our Leadership Institute Class of 2024!

What is the Leadership Institute?

While many organizations have Leadership Institutes and Academies, Women’s Council leadership’s 80+year track record and proven system in creating leaders is considered the gold standard in the industry. The Leadership Institute develops leaders who have demonstrated leadership potential through their local and state network, with the goal of creating a network of industry experts across the country who are actively involved in improving our Council.

Who should apply?

Applicants must be a REALTOR®, REALTOR-Associate® or REALTOR® Association Executive and a Women's Council National member in good standing. Only applicants who have served on the local network level and/or have had some experience at the state or national level of Women’s Council will be considered. Applicants will have demonstrated commitment to expand their knowledge and involvement in the industry as well as seek greater involvement in Women’s Council national leadership. Applicants should hold the PMN designation. The Leadership Institute is limited to 15-20 participants each year. Look for application information in Spring 2024.

What time commitment does the Leadership Institute entail?

The Leadership Institute is a major 10-month commitment (February-November) and includes attendance at three live meetings as follows: a dedicated 2-day training event in Chicago in February or March 2025 (covered by Women's Council), the National Midyear Meeting in May 2025 in Washington DC (at student's expense), and the National Conference in November 2025 in Houston, TX (at student's expense).  Other meetings will be held via telephone or video-conference in between the meetings. Leadership Institute participants must commit to attending all three meetings.

Attendance at all sessions is necessary to graduate. Participants who have an unexcused absence for more than one session will be dropped from the program and encouraged to reapply. Selection for subsequent year’s programs cannot be guaranteed. Please consider this time and travel commitment before applying.

What costs are entailed for the Leadership Institute? What is covered and what is not?

For the Class of 2025, the $595 application/participation fee is due by December 31, 2024, and covers the program's tuition cost. Women’s Council fully covers the February/March training (air, hotel, meals). The Midyear and National Conference are held at the participant’s expense. The application process will open on June 3 and close on July 8, 2024.
