The Time is Now: Become a National Volunteer in 2027

ERIC MICHAEL CLARKE WCR NETWORKING360 0073The moment has arrived! If you’re reading this, you’re likely a Women’s Council leader who cares deeply about our industry, your community, and your own growth. I’m excited to help you take the next step and get involved at the national level.

It’s easy to think, “I’ll do that later,” but leadership doesn’t start when you receive a title — it starts when you raise your hand. If national leadership is on your heart for the future, now is the perfect time to begin building your pathway.

Leadership Identification & Development (LID) Process — Women’s Council of REALTORS®

The Leadership Identification & Development (LID) volunteer application period is now open. This application is the first step in being considered for national volunteer opportunities.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Complete the LID Volunteer Application by June 22.
  2. Your application will be reviewed and shared with the appropriate leaders.
  3. Appointments begin in early fall for the upcoming year.

Opportunities may include (but are not limited to): conference ambassadors, trade show booth volunteers, inspiration/pledge speakers at national meetings, election volunteers, project teams, Social Media Influencers, Finance & Budget Committee, Opportunity & Growth Committee, Technology Investment Committee, and Network 360 Leadership Conference faculty. We continue refining national opportunities each year, and we encourage you to apply even if your ideal role isn’t listed yet — your willingness to serve helps shape what comes next.

Getting Involved at NAR

If you’re also pursuing leadership through NAR committees, be sure to watch the application timeline and prepare early. Women’s Council experience is meaningful leadership development — and it belongs in your application story. Highlight your involvement, leadership roles, and accomplishments, and take time to seek recommendations for the positions you’re pursuing. Strong preparation (and strong relationships) make a difference.

Leadership Pathways

If you’re exploring how to grow within Women’s Council, I encourage you to visit our Leadership Pathways webpage regularly. It’s updated throughout the year as new opportunities become available — and it’s a great way to see where your skills can best serve.

Your Leadership Journey Starts Now

As we step forward together, I want you to know this: Women’s Council thrives because leaders step up with professionalism, follow-through, and a heart for growing others.

Whether you’re volunteering for the first time or stretching into something bigger, I’m cheering you on. I look forward to seeing the impact you’ll make as we Inspire • Lead • Connect — because connection creates opportunity.
