The National Women’s Council of REALTORS® mourns the loss of Past National President Pat Parks, who passed away on April 4, 2026. Serving as National President in 1984, Pat was a leader whose passion, mentorship, and commitment to advancing the real estate industry left a lasting impact on countless members and leaders across the country. Read her obituary.

Midyear Business Meeting Voter Eligibility

The 2026 Midyear Business Meeting Election is taking place in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, June 18, 2026.  All voting delegates must have registered for the “Women’s Council Meeting” conference by June 4, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST in order to be eligible to vote. Register here. 

Voter sign-in will be available from 12:15–1:15 p.m. ET. Members who arrive after sign-in closes will not be eligible to vote.

Unable to Attend Elections at Midyear Meeting?
Designated Alternate Voter Procedures and Timelines

State and Local Presidents – if, for any reason, you are not able to attend the 2026 Midyear Business Meeting and vote at the Election, you may designate your voting privileges to another member of your network in good standing. You must provide an authorization notice using the designated alternate voter form AND ensure the alternate is registered for the Midyear Meeting by June 4 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time for the alternate to be eligible to vote.

  • This is the only formal notice we will give to networks about designated alternate voters.
  • We do not accept emails or telephone calls outlining designated alternate voters.
  • The purpose of the Election is to elect the national leaders of the Council – President-elect, First Vice President, Treasurer, and three National Liaisons.
  • The Delegate and/or Alternate must hold REALTOR® or REALTOR®-ASSOCIATE membership and also be a current member in your network. Please review National Bylaws Article X for the full details.
  • All election policies must be followed strictly and in writing, and no on-site informalities are allowed.

Proposed Bylaws Changes

All members were notified of the proposed changes to the Bylaws via email on May 14. This communication is also archived online for your review. We encourage all Governing Board members to review the proposed changes in detail prior to the Governing Board meeting on June 17 at the Capital Hilton.

Leadership Identification & Development Application is Open

Women’s Council strives to be an organization structured to provide members with leadership opportunities that enrich both the organization and you as a leader.

Our LID opportunities include (but are not limited to): Social media ambassadors, conference ambassadors, trade show booth volunteers, inspiration/pledge speakers at national meetings, election volunteers, project teams, and national committees.

The Supporting Women of Real Estate Grant Program Is Open

The grant provides local and state REALTOR® associations with an opportunity to receive funding to offer new and innovative programs that focus on advancing women within the real estate industry.

How you can help as a Women’s Council leader:

  • Encourage your local REALTOR® associations to apply for the grant.
  • Offer to collaborate on program development to showcase the synergy between Women’s Council and REALTOR® associations.
  • Spread the word and rally support for initiatives that promote women’s leadership in real estate.
